On Saturday, August 3, Stormont Kings Chess Program will host the grand opening of their new center located at 16201 SW 95th Avenue, Suite 305. The center will be a place to socialize, play chess, participate in tournaments and take part in activates such as Movie Night, Family Game Night and more!
To commemorate the event Stormont Kings Chess Program will sponsor a family friendly event from 1:00 p.m. till 4:00p.m., which will include chess demonstrations, games, raffles and complimentary refreshments. Chris Stormont, founder of the Stormont Kings Chess Program, has been teaching children chess since 1991. His program is affiliated with the United States Chess Federation. Chris has been featured in the Miami Herald, Sun-Sentinel, and the River Cities Gazette. Several of his students have won state and national tournaments.
